GREETINGS FROM RIGA LATIVA..NOW HOW DID I GET HERE AND WHY AM I SPENDING MY SECOND NITE HERE...WELL WE FLEW FROM PARIS TO WARSAW UNEVENTFULLY AND AFTER THE USUAL SCREW UP BY UNIVERSAL REGARDING WHO WAS PAYING FOR THE FUEL...I WON UNIVERSAL PAID...WE TOOK OFF FOR MOSCOW...THE FLIGHT WAS VERY PLEASANT ..39,OOO FEET HUMMING ALONG AT 400 MILES PER HOUR WHEN....50 MILES FROM THE RUSSIAN FIR (AVIATION TALK FOR THE BORDER} MINSK CONTROL ANNOUNCED THAT WHILE THE PILOT AND DOG WERE ACCEPTABLE TO ENTER RUSSIA THE PLANE N4FF KLAHADELLA WAS NOT...AT FIRST THEY THOUGHT WE WERE A P51 WWII MUSTANG AND MILITARY PLANES MUST LOGICALLY BE APPROVED BY THE MILITARY....THEN WHEN I CONVINCED THEM WE ARE A PRIVATE JET THE NEW CESSNA CITATION MUSTANG THEY SAID OUR REGISTRATION WAS NOT CORRECT....I COULD GO ON BUT TO ANSWER THE QUESTION OF MINSK CONTROL AS TO WHAT I WANTED TO DO SINCE I WAS ALMOST AT THE FIR AND COULD NOT ENTER RUSSIAN AIR SPACE I IMMEDIATELY CONSULTED WITH MY CO-PILOT BRANDEN WHO SUGGESTED WISELY THAT WE BEGIN MAKING THREE SIXTYS IN THE SKY AT 390 SLOWTHE AIRPLANE DOWN AND PULL UP THE AREA MAP ON THE GARMIN 1000 WHICH SHOWS ALL THE COUNTRIES IN THE AREA. THAT B IS SMART AND I DID WHAT HE SAID....THEN I NOTICED THAT LATIVA WAS ONLY 40 MINUTES AND RIGA HAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN IN THE WORLD NEXT TO THE USA SO I ASKED MINSK IF I COULD GO TO RIGA AND THEY ARRANGED IT......WE HOPE TO HAVE A CLEARANCE TO MOSCOW LEAVING AT NOON ON WED TOMORROW THEN ON TO YEKTERENGBURG TO VISIT MY OTHER COUSIN, CZAR NICHOLAS...I AM SURE IT WILL BE A ROYAL DINNER IF HE IS STILL ALIVE..JOKE....WE HAD PLENTY OF FUEL...COULD HAVE EVEN RETURNED TO WARSAW THANKS TO BRANDENS INSISTANCE THAT WE ALWAYS LEAVE WITH FULL TANKS AND NOT MISSION FUEL PLUS RESERVE...WE ARE FINE..USED THE DAY TO REST..SLEEP IN...AND I STILL HAVE THAT EXTA DAY WHEN I CROSS THE INTL DATE LINE ON FRI AND ARRIVE ON THURS IN NOME...SEND ME A BLOG WITH ANY QUESTIONS..WHAT IS A BLOG ANYWAY..BRANDEN AND I SEND OUR LOVE F.
