Hello Fred,
I do not know if you remember me, but you gave me my very first shot in Corporate Aviation. Mark Dietrich afforded me the opportunity when I came to him begging for a job while I was still on active duty with the USAF as a C5 Flight Engineer. We flew to the east coast right after 9-11 and I was in shambles, having to adapt to the airplane and the different facets of flying a jet up front - especially one so advanced as Pegasus, 100FF. I want to thank you for affording me that one opportunity, which led me to my Mentor Tim Yaeger and his X operation in Reno, then eventually to a full time job that got me out of the USAF and into Charter Lears 35/36/55 and Gulfstream 2/3/4 in Van Nuys. I eventually made G1159 Co-Captain and Deputy Chief Pilot at Pacific Jet before leaving the company to join CoPart as a Citation V Captain where I stayed for 2 years. I recently left Copart and am now once again in the right seat, this time in a Gulfstream 450 in Asia. I am hoping to build experience and friends and a decent reputation in the Gulfstream community so that I may one day return back home to the US, competitive enough in the arena to obtain a career home .
I cannot begin to express my heartfelt gratitude to what You, Mark Dietrich and Tim Yaeger have done for me and my aspirations of following my father's footsteps and becoming a Pilot. You, Mark and Tim afforded me the opportunity that got me where I am today. My heart felt THANK YOU Fred.
All the best,
Jon Jose
